Making bread is one of the strongest memories I have from primary school; the excitement from baking and the smell of the dough in the oven all come crashing into my mind when I think of homemade bread. But, homemade bread isn’t just for children, it can be delicious and pretty damn impressive too.
Obviously, you could make your own bread by hand the traditional way but with all these bread maker recipes and the pure ease of using a bread maker, why would you bother doing it by hand?
I gave this recipe a go and found it easy to make and more importantly, delicious to eat! Here’s the details if you’d like to make it for yourself:
1 tsp yeast
250g Strong white flour
250g Rye flour
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp Fennel Seeds
- Place Rye blade into the bread maker
- Put all the ingredients into the bread pan (in the order listed)
- Select RYE MENU (3 hours, 30 mins)
- When it’s finished baking, take out of the bread pan and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing up
