Mid-week motivation

Is it just me or does anyone else start off each week feeling really motivated and excited to do things and then as the week goes on that motivation just seems to fade away? Well to try to stop this I’ve started spending 10-20 minutes on a Wednesday/ Thursday looking through motivational quotes and reviewing my goals in order to give me another boost of motivation and it’s actually started working for me! In the spirit of sharing that motivation, I decided to share with you some of the quotes I’ve been thinking about this week so you can feed off that motivation and have a great end to the week. These quotes are all from my Pinterest board so if you like these then go check out my board for even more of them!

1

Set a goal that makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning

If you’re not excited to get out of bed in the morning to start your day then you’re going to have a lot of rough mornings. I’m definitely not a morning person by any means so it’s hard for me to find something to be excited about right from when I first wake up but there are certain things that I will happily jump out of bed for so I try to prioritize them.

You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.

Holding on to anger, grudges and resentment will only hurt yourself. It makes you stressed and unhappy so there’s no point to it. Having said this, I am one of the worst people at letting go of things so this is something I’m actively working on at the moment because I’ll let little insignificant things eat away at me for ages until it just gets ridiculous. Please don’t do this, it’s pointless!

3

Have courage and be kind

This is one of my all-time favourite quotes, I think I heard it from the Cinderella film and it’s stuck with me ever since. Courage and kindness are such important values that I think everyone should be taught from a young age in order to grow up to be decent, respectful adults. I find the courage part especially difficult because I’m scared of everything but I think everyone could do with being a little kinder as well.

5

Believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable

I hate to admit this because it’s what my boyfriend always drills into me but it’s true… Believing in yourself can make a world of difference! If you start a task with the belief that you’ll succeed then you are much more likely to do so because you won’t give up when it starts to get difficult.

4

If you’re not doing what you love, you’re wasting your time

I believe in this 110%. Why would you spend your time on something you don’t care about? I understand that sometimes you need to do things that you don’t want to do but don’t live your whole life doing things you hate.

Hopefully these quotes will have inspired you as much as they have me for the rest for the week! I’d love to hear what your favourite quote is so please let me know in the comments.
