I’m a strong believer that your eyes are the keys to your soul. You can tell a lot about a person by looking into their eyes especially about their emotions. When I’m stuck for what to do with my makeup, my go-to is to accentuate my eyes to make it look like I’ve put in a lot more effort than I actually have so I wanted to share a few of my tips with you. I’m by no means any kind of ‘beauty expert’ or professional so please feel free to roll your eyes at my attempt to blog about something beauty related and carry on with your day! If, however, you are interested in what I’ve got to say about this then here are my 5 top tips for accentuating your eyes with makeup:
False eyelashes make a HUGE difference to your whole face, they open up your eyes and make you look a lot more awake. I particularly like these lashes by KISS which can be found here:
Most people instinctively reach for black/ brown eyeliner for their eyes but a little bit of white eyeliner on your lower waterline can really make your eyes pop! The white brings more light into your eyes and opens them up to make you look more awake.
- Style your glasses around your eye shape
I won’t get into this one too much because I’ve already written a blog post all about it here
- Winged eyeliner
I’m not a big fan of dramatic eyeliner so I tend to go for a smaller, more subtle flick when I do liquid liner but it does make a difference your eyes!
- Wear a neutral lip colour
If you’re trying to accentuate your eyes, I’d recommend going for a neutral colour on your lips so they don’t draw attention away from your eyes.
And there you have it! As you can tell I don’t know everything there is to know about makeup and beauty, hence why I’m not a beauty blogger but I really enjoy experimenting with makeup and I get a lot of enjoyment from reading beauty blogs so I thought I’d give it a little go. Please let me know what you thought in the comments and if you’ve got any other tips for bringing out yours eyes then i’d love to hear them!
