Natures soap skincare review

Hello my lovely readers!

I recently discovered the brand Natures soap on Twitter and immediately thought that their products looked really good! Obviously you can’t tell the quality of a product when you’re looking at it online so I contacted them to see if they would be ok with my doing a product review on my blog. They responded by sending me this gorgeous parcel full of goodies!

{DISCLAIMER: This post is not sponsored or paid for by the brand, they were just kind enough to send me some of their products to try. All opinions are my own and 100% honest}

The parcel contained: Aromatherapy Body Sugar Scrub (in Pink Grapefruit & Orange), Aromatherapy Body Butter (with Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil), Goat’s Milk Soap with Poppy Seeds (in Lemon & Maychang), Beeswax Lip Balm (with Peppermint), Beeswax Lip Balm (with Lemon) and a Calendula Sunshine Bath Truffle (with Lemongrass Essential Oil)

As soon as I opened the parcel I was hit with a really nice, fresh, lemon-y scent (I think it was from the bath truffle). The products were all packaged beautifully and you see straight away that they were going to be of high quality!

The first product I tried was the beeswax with peppermint lip balm because I’ve wanted a peppermint lip balm for ages but never got round to buying one. And my god are these good lip balms! They don’t feel waxy like a lot of the generic drugstore lip balms and the peppermint in the lip balm felt tingly (in a good way) and tasted like candy canes. So that was a HUGE win for me!

I then decided to have a bath with just the bath truffle (I wanted to use all of the products at once but thought it would be difficult to judge them separately if I did). I already knew that I loved the smell because I could smell it as soon as I opened the package so I wanted to see how strong it would be in the bath. Most of the bath bombs and fizzers and all that that I’ve tried in the past have disappointed me with how diluted they were but this one is really strong! So strong in fact, that I would actually recommend breaking/ cutting it in half and just using half of it at a time. The strong scent was a little bit too overpowering for me but I do love the smell so I got over that. I think that if you just use half and it’s not strong enough for you, you can always put in the other half but you can’t take any back once you’ve used it all! Another thing that I noticed about the bath truffle was that it moisturised my skin! I didn’t actually read the packaging before I used it (I’m a rebel, I know) so I wasn’t expecting that so I was even more happy with the product then!

I then waited a day before using the body butter because I didn’t want the bath truffle to change how the body butter felt and smelt. I have to say, this product wasn’t my favourite. I don’t think it was right for my skin type because it didn’t quite dissolve into my skin properly (I usually use very light body butters). I did like the consistency though, it was almost like a mousse and when you rub it between your hands it melts into a lovely texture. The smell, again, was divine!

The soap was the one thing I wasn’t super excited for because I’m really not a bar-soap fan. I hate it whenever I walk into a bathroom and see a bar soap, I just really don’t like them! Having said that, obviously I had to try this one and I did love the smell of it so I gave it a shot and I can honestly say that I loved it! It lathers up really easily and has tiny little grainy bits (I’m not sure what they are haha) that make it feel like an exfoliator and after you’ve used it you can smell the fresh lemon scent on your skin!

Next, I thought I’d give the lemon lip balm a try. I was hoping for something light and fresh and that’s exactly what I got! It was, like the peppermint lip balm, nourishing and soft and creamy and all the things a good lip balm should be. If you couldn’t tell already, I am REALLY impressed with these lip balms!

This body scrub is honestly the BEST body scrub I’ve ever used! I found it even better than Soap and Glory’s (which is saying something, coming from me!). It’s very intense, so I would probably not recommend it for somebody with sensitive skin but it’s perfect for me!

Overall I am really impressed with these products. The packaging is beautiful and convenient (there isn’t loads of excess packaging with little product like you sometimes get with other brands), the scents are all so lovely and fresh (perfect for spring!) and I will definitely be buying these products as presents for my friends and family!

Thank you for reading!
