Taking time to appreciate the little things that make you happy is such an important and underrated thing so I thought I’d not only stop to think about the little things that make me happy, but share them with you so here are 25 little things that make me happy… Tell me some of yours in the comments!

• The feeling of the sun on a hot day
• The sound of waves (the real ones not those recordings)
•  The sound of rain against windows, especially in the car
• Cuddling, more specifically, cuddling my boyfriend Tom
• Reading a good book, the kind you really don’t want to put down so you stay up all night reading it
• Writing (for my blog)
• Binge watching lighthearted tv shows
• Listening to loud music in the car
• Driving on sunny days with the windows down
• Eating ice cream, my ultimate comfort food!
• Drinking wine, I don’t even care if I sound like an alcoholic, wine makes me happy and I’m okay with that
• Singing at the top of my voice, I’m terrible but it doesn’t matter it’s just fun to do
• Staying in hotels
• Watching movies wrapped up in a duvet with a good snack
• Doing a really good workout, the endorphin’s are addictive!
• Overcoming little obstacles, especially something I was expecting to be hard to do
• Surprises, obviously only the good ones!
• Buying someone a thoughtful gift and seeing their face when they open it
• Wrapping gifts, there’s something so therapeutic about wrapping gifts nicely
• Planning/ organizing things, I’m such a nerd when it comes to organisation
• Finding a good new blog/ Instagram/ YouTube channel
• Picnics
• People watching
• Daydreaming
• Coffee dates
